This building is 220 Bed well equipped Hospital with all modern facilities. The building architecture consists of Basement, Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor, Third Floor and Roof.
Basement mainly consists of Service Rooms such as Generator Room, UPS Room, BMS Control Room, AHU Room, Medical Gas Room, Solar Hot Water Plant Room, Medical Waste Treatment Plant Room, Fire & Water Supply plant rooms etc. A well equipped staff kitchen and dining room is also available in Basement. Entry to Basement is through a ramp and a spacious Delivery Courtyard is also available to facilitate vehicles to deliver the supplies for the Hospital.
Ground Floor is having a spacious Reception area, Outpatient Clinics, Emergency Ambulance Entry, CPR, Intervention Rooms, Recovery Rooms, VIP Treatment Rooms, MRT & CT Scan, Orthopedic Treatment, Isolation Rooms, Endoscopy dept, Fluoroscopy room, Pharmacy, Radiology Department etc. DEWA’s Main Substation is also located in the Ground Floor and Main MDB Room adjacent to Substation.
First Floor is equipped with 8 Nos. Operation Theatres, ICUs, CCUs, VIP CCUs & CCUs, Nurse Station, Outpatient Cardiology Units, Angiography, Post-Angiography, Physiotherapy, Recovery Rooms, Laboratory, Sterilization department and a Main Server Room for the IT Networking system.
Second Floor is having Surgical Wards (Male & Female), Medical Wards, Patient Rooms, VIP Patient Rooms, etc.
Third Floor is equipped with one Operation Theatre, Female Medical Wards, Maternity Wards, Labor / Delivery Wards, Pediatric Ward, Pediatric Outpatients, Pediatric ICU etc.
Roof floor consists of Chiller Yard which accommodates 6 chillers, Chilled Water Pump Room, MCC Room on Zone 2 side where as Zone 1 side consists of AHUs, FAHUs, Extract Fans, Remote Radiator for Generators, Solar Panels for Hot Water Generation System.

The main power is fed to the Hospital through a Substation located in Ground Floor where 8 Nos. 1500KVA Transformers and 4 Nos. RMUs are provided by DEWA. The main Low Voltage Room (LV Room) is located adjacent to Substation in Ground Floor where all Main Distribution Boards (MDBs) and Capacitor Bank Panels are installed.
The Hospital is equipped with 3 Nos. of 1500KVA Standby Generators (with provision for 4th Generator), all accommodated in a dedicated Generator Room in Basement. These Standby Generators will feed, in case of DEWA mains failure, 4 Nos Air Cooled Chillers and all other essential equipments such as lifts, pumps, medical equipments, etc.
The Hospital is also equipped with 400 KVA UPS in dedicated UPS Room which is located adjacent to Generator Room in Basement. The UPS will cater to all essential equipments in case of mains failure, identified for this purpose.
The Hospital is provided with Analogue addressable Fire Alarm System with Voice Evacuation System and Central Emergency Lighting System in full compliance to Dubai Civil Defense Authority’s requirements. The main Fire Alarm Panel is located in the Control Room in Basement and Repeater Fire Alarm Panels are located in the Main Reception Hall.
The Low Current systems in the Hospital such as Nurse Call System, CCTV System, Telephone System and SMATV System are all upgraded to IP based System as per Engineer / Employer’s requirements. A GSM network consists of antennas is also provided by Etisalat.
The Hospital is also provided with Structured Cabling System for IT Networking, Public Address System, Central Clock System and Access Control System for Restricted areas as shown in the layout drawings.
A variety of Light Fittings with energy saving lamps, both indoor and outdoor types, are provided in the Hospital to suit the requirements and utility of the rooms. All the public corridor, lobby area lighting is controlled through Building Management System for effective power utilization.
Each floor is equipped with dedicated Electrical Rooms which accommodated Sub Main Boards and Distribution Boards.
A well designed earthing network is provided for the Hospital separately for equipment earthing and lightning protection to comply with local regulations.
